LOCATION: WFCU Centre, 8787 McHugh St. Windsor, ON
SPORT DESCRIPTION: The Ball Hockey event will feature one “Open Unisex” division and games are played on a regulation hockey rink with ice removed and ball hockey lines painted on cement floor. There will be 12 teams bracketed in a blind draw with each team guaranteed 3 games. Each team may be composed of a maximum of 13 participants made up of 12 dressed players, including at least one goalie. One participant can be a non-playing coach. Players must be dressed alike. Same jerseys and base colour for pants or shorts. Teams must have either ALL shorts or ALL long pants. No mixing. Each player must bring with them a white jersey and a dark jersey with matching socks. All players must wear hockey helmets (full cage strongly recommended), hockey gloves and shin pads. If you use a different kind of shin pad other than the CBHA approved ones, they must be covered by socks. Games consist of three periods, which are 15 minutes each, running time. There are 2-minute intermissions between periods and a 5-minute pre-game warm up. No fighting, no spitting and no slap shots.
